The Hole-In-One System
Use the clubs in your bag to become an exceptional leader.
If you’re a golf player like me, you know that each player has 14 different clubs in their bag. In theory, each club should serve a specific purpose for a specific situation, but in practice there are golfers who don’t use all the clubs in their bag. I’ve known golfers who never use their driver, which means they have a useless club taking up space in their bag.
The 14 different clubs can be equated to the different skillsets we all have as individuals, and as leaders. Most people have some “clubs” they like to use more than others, even when that club is not suited to that particular situation.
In the Hole-in-One System of leadership coaching, we not only give you the knowledge and skillset to be a great leader, we teach you how and when to use each “club” to give you the best chance of hitting that hole in one.
The “holes” we teach you to sink the ball into in the Hole-in-One System are nine factors that are critical to the success of your company. You can think of them as the front nine holes in golf, and they are:
1) Leadership Development: Instead of running around trying to put out fires, let’s focus on making sure the fires never get lit in the first place.
2) Executive Coaching: Similar to leadership coaching, but for an entire organization. Your visibility goes up dramatically when you’re at the executive level because everyone watches what you’re doing. This does not mean you can’t make mistakes, but it does mean you should always be acting with integrity.
3) Corporate Culture Development: The culture of an organization is what drives it forward and keeps employees engaged, and it starts at the top.
4) Strategic Planning: Having a strategy in place allows your organization to grow by identifying where you want to go and how you’re going to get there.
5) Sales and Business Development: Your company can’t grow without a strong sales team, so let’s focus on how you can build a team that helps your organization consistently meet its revenue goals.
6) Corporate Culture Assessments and Development: Do you have a strong corporate culture that keeps employees engaged and motivated? An assessment can point out where your corporate culture might need strengthening, as well as how to strengthen it to make sure everyone on your team is on the same page.
7) Team Leadership and Employee Development: Employee disengagement is rampant, but it’s not really an employee problem – it’s a leadership problem. In the Hole-in-One System, we identify and strengthen any weaknesses a leader might have so they can move forward, engage their employees, and lead their team to success.
8) Financial Analysis and Management: Understanding your financial situation will help you make leadership decisions based on the resources at your disposal.
9) Customer Loyalty and Relationship Management: Customer loyalty is critical to business success, but it doesn’t happen by accident. It requires strong leadership, so in the final “hole” of the Hole-in-One System, we make sure your leaders are equipped to build and develop great relationships with your customers.
If you’re ready to start identifying your strengths and weaknesses as a leader so you can improve and start building unstoppable forward momentum, I’d love to talk.
